BPC HIPMI Banyuwangi held E-Sport tournament
TIMESBANYUWANGI, BANYUWANGI – Ballroom Hotel Luminor Banyuwangi suddenly crowded by gamers. They came to participate in E-Sport tournaments held by the Indonesian Association of Young Entrepreneurs (BPC-HIPMI) Banyuwangi Branch board.
Chairman of BPC HIPMI Banyuwangi, Dede Abdul Ghani said, the E-sport is the first activity of HIPMI Banyuwangi after the Covid-19 pandemic.
"E-Sport tournaments are held simultaneously from BPC, BPD to BPP," said Dede to TIMESIndonesia, Sunday (19/7/2020).
Dede said, there were as many as 100 gamers who fought in the tournament activities. Average aged 17-40 years. The tournament was held by implementing the Covid-19 protocol.
"Because this e-sport already has a place of its own by the youth and recognized by the world," said Dede.
According to Dede, the entire process of activities was delivered live through live streaming of the HIPMI Banyuwangi YouTube channel. Later the winners will be announced immediately after the tournament has been held.
"So who is currently at home can directly follow via online," explained Dede.
The participants of the e-sport tournament will compete for a total prize of Rp 7.5 million. Later the winners can participate in tournaments at the provincial and national level.
Banyuwangi Regent Abdullah Azwar Anas through the Camat Kalipuro, Henry appreciated the tournament held by HIPMI Banyuwangi.
"These activities are great for shaping the talents and interests of the youth. I guess the Regent's father was also pleased with this activity. Because it can make young men more active and productive with this e-sport, "Henry said.
